Description

Product Description

                                                                   INTENDED USE

The Urea Test Strip work with the Dry Biochemical Analysis Meter (DBM-101) to measure theUrea(UR/UREA) concentration in whole blood, plasma and serum. For professional use.Urea is the major end product of protein metabolism in body, and urea measurements are used in the diagnosis various kidney diseases such as nephritis and renal insufficiency.

                                                                MEASUREMENT RANGE

Test TypeMeasurement Range
Urea (UR)0.90mmol/L~40.00mmol/L(5.41mg/dL~240.24mg/dL)

*For urea, 1 mmol/L =6.006mg/dLResults below the ranges will show “Lo”, and results above the ranges will show “HI”.

                                                       PRINCIPLE AND REFERENCE VALUES

The Urea Test Strip use a timed-endpoint method to measure the Urea (UR) concentrations in whole blood, serum or plasma. The system monitors the change in absorbance at 620 nm at a fixed-time interval. The change in absorbance is directly proportional to the concentration of metabolite in the specimen.UR: Urea in the specimen are hydrolyzed to NH3 and CO2 by the action of urease, and an indicator layer containing an indicator which produces a detectable change by gaseous ammonia. Reference values are listed in the chart below:

TestsDesirable
Urea (UR)1.70~8.30mmol/L(10.21~49.85mg/dL)

Reference ranges may vary between laboratories. Every laboratory should establish its ownreference range as needed.UR levels will have big physiological fluctuations depending on food consumed or exercise.
